Years Umpiring and how old were you when you started: 3 years and I started when I was 16

Reason for umpiring: Billy Mitchell asked me to begin umpiring juniors so I decided to take it up

  

Highlight of umpiring career to date: Umpiring in U/16 Vic Metro Championship in 2014 with umpires from different metro associations

Umpiring goal for next season: Maintain position in senior football and push for another grand final spot

Who had the most influence on your umpiring career and why: I think probably my mate Paul McGarry has made the biggest influence, we have a really healthy rivalry which pushes me to always get better and better

Most embarrassing moment on a footy field: I think it has to be falling on my bum in an U/16's GF on centre wing in front of the crowd and camera

What training drill do you dread the most: honestly none, the harder the drills, the better

What is your prematch routine: Get the tunes pumping on the way to the ground and at the ground keep loose and focus on the game, where to run, what to look out for and have a chat and laugh with the panel for the day

What is your favourite RDFL ground: Boardman (don't have to run as far

I enjoy being a part of the Riddell umpires because: It gives me the best chance of umpiring at a high level with the coaching set up and the opportunities they have given me and I have made mates that I love seeing every week
