Highlight of umpiring career to date: Many! Being awarded the Golden Whistle at DVFL. Umpiring the last ever Senior DVFL Grand Final & Umpiring the first ever NFL Senior Grand Final. Umpiring a Senior grand final with my best mate. Dare I say the 2012 RDFL Grand Final as an observer from the mid zone in the final minute and being named umpire in the year in that year. Lastly it was only a one year stint but the challenge of the VFL was fantastic and rewarding, didn’t continue into a second year due to teaching commitments. Umpiring goal for next season: To not run a game… What training drill do you dread the most: Anything taken by Anthony Rhodes What is your prematch routine: Ducking into the loo about 8 times before the match to clear the bladder. What is your favourite RDFL ground: Lancefield on Grand final day. If umpire training was the TV show survivor, who would be voted off first and who would win: Joel Wood would be voted off first. Who would win? Glen Shilling… Hobbies aside from umpiring: Cricket, any American sports, playing with my girls.
