Senior Coach Michael O’Keeffe has announced he is stepping down for the role of Head Coach in 2017. We thank Michael for his efforts over the last six years and wish him all the best in his future endeavors.
We Congratulate Dwayne Connell on his appointment to the Senior Coach Position in 2017. We wish Dwayne all the best in his new venture.
We also congratulate Billy Mitchell on his appointment to the Senior Assistant Coaching role and Harley Darmanin on his appointment to the Junior Head Coaching role. We extend our best wishes to both Billy and Harley.
We would to also like to thank Britney Giles on her Role as Boundary Coach over the last two seasons. Britney has indicated she will be stepping down from the role in 2017. We once again thank Brit for all her hard work, dedication and tireless effort in her role.
We wish all our first week of Senior Finals Umpires all the best for the weekend.

The home and away season is finally done and dusted. Congratulations to all teams who will feature in finals over the coming weeks. Thank you to all clubs for your ongoing support of Riddell Umpires throughout the regular season. Greatly appreciated
Many Riddell Umpires have had a busy weekend just gone with a number of umpires officiating in up to five games covering the final round as well as the first week of junior finals.

The moment has arrived! The final round of the home and away season is upon us. Just as clubs are vying for final positions, so too are Riddell Umpires readying themselves for a tilt at the finals, with the ultimate prize a grand final appointment.
For some umpires this will be their final opportunity to show case their talents.
Riddell Umpires wish to thank all umpires for their continued dedication and commitment throughout a long season. We hope all umpires recommit for 2017, and encourage prospective umpires to join us for an exciting 2017 season. We always welcome new umpires to join our group. If you have ever considered umpiring, you need to get on board for next season.
Good luck to all final umpires whether it be Juniors or Seniors.

With the penultimate round of the regular season upon us, two of Riddell Umpires long serving umpires reach major milestones this weekend. Riddell Umpires would like to acknowledge the significant achievements of goal umpire John Bretag and boundary Ashley Goudie.
With nearly fifty years’ involvement with umpiring (commenced umpiring in1967), goal umpire John Bretag reaches 300 RDFNL Senior games with Riddell Umpires and is on the cusp of 600 total games. John commenced his association with the RDFL on Easter Sunday 1974, and was an inaugural umpire with Riddell Umpires in 1983 in which his officiated the Senior First Division 1 Grand Final followed by the ‘85 and ‘86 Div. 1 Senior Grand Finals, with the highlight being the ’85 Wallan v Melton 1-point Grand final result. Prior to this John had umpired VFL U19 and Reserves level on the boundary. John has an extensive resume of achievements with the RDFNL and has seen a significant improvement in the evolution of football.
